Hello,
I insterted the Baseline Work field in the PWA Timesheets.
Every projects have a baseline.
Each project manager opened every one of his/her projects and clicked
Collaborate / Publish / Project Plan, and then click OK. to "push"
this new field and its values out to Project Web Access.
The Baseline Work field shows up in the timesheets... but it is always empty
!
;-(

Thanks for help !

Your project managers need to open every project and click Collaborate -
Publish - Republish Assignments to "push" the Baseline Work values to each
user's timesheet in PWA. Hope this helps.

Oops! I forgot one key step in the process. The project managers need to
add the Baseline Work field to the list of published fields in each project
and then republish the assignments in each project. Sorry about my
oversight. Here's how to do it:

1. Open a project in Microsoft Project Professional
2. Click Tools - Customize - Published Fields
3. In the Published Fields dialog, copy the Baseline Work field to the list
on the right
4. Click the Set as Default button to add this field to all new blank
projects
5. Click OK
6. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments and then click OK
7. Repeat this process for each project

Hope this helps.

Dale,
Great! That works!

Another question nevertheless:
In the menu: Tools - Customize - Published Fields... we have the choice for
custom field type between :
- Task
- Assignment
by chance I selected "Task" and it works, but what and where is the
difference between the 2 options?

Thanks a lot

I assign Dale and Mickey to Task A, and each resource is assigned to work 40
hours on the task. I baseline the project. The Baseline Work values are as
follows:

Task A - 80 hours
Dale - 40 hours
Mickey - 40 hours

In the above scenario, Task A represents the task level Baseline Work, while
the 40 hours for Dale and the 40 hours for Mickey represent the assignment
level Baseline Work. Given this explanation, did you really want the task
level Baseline Work to show up on each team member's timesheet, or only
their assignment level Baseline Work? Hope this helps.
