inserted grapic stops the print

Hi, I am connected to and Nashuatec DSC424 printer, scanner, copier
and has a strange issue with excel.

When I print a workbook from a template which contains an
insterted .tiff, it wont print.

If i delete this inserted tiff, it prints.
If a insert this .tiff into a blank document. It prints. I tried to
convert the image from .png to tiff and resaved to the .xlt. Either
the .xlt file or a .xls from this template will print.

Looks like it will print when i insert the image as .pict, which I
converted with Preview.

It is strange that excel in some instances will print an .tiff or .png
but want .pict if it prints from a template or is inserted into a .xls

stick to pict is my slogan, but it feels very outdated...
I print via foomatic RIP and opensource PPD ( made by Rich, who makes
the Nashuatech printers and also cals them NRG, just to make it
difficult..)

Sounds to me like a printer driver issue. Are you sure you have the latest
version?

I dont think its driverissue because I can print that graphic when I
insert it into a blank spreadsheet. The problem is when That grapics
is in a templatefile.

It still sounds like a driver issue to me. When in a template file,
different print command may be issued. Do you have the latest drivers
installed? Is the printer resolution set to best?

If you check the thread again will you send me a copy of the template you're
having trouble printing? We don't have a tiff/template/print bug in our
database and I'd like to see if I can reproduce the problem here in our
print lab. So far, when I create a tiff from scratch, insert it with other
data, save as a template and print the file I see the tiff and data in the
sheet. Perhaps there is a combination of properties and formatting that
you're using in the template that exposes a bug.
