Inserted Grpahics Dot Display in Word Document

M

Margaret Smith

I am using Word 2003 and have been for about three years. Until recently, I
have had no problem with inserting and displaying graphics within Word
documents (clipart, photos, etc.).

However, just recently, when I insert a graphic, the only thing displayed is
a blank box which cannot be be resized, moved, etc. The funny thing is that
the graphic will print, and graphics are displayed in "old" documents.

I have tried removing Office from my system and resintalling it but without
correcting the problem.

I have tried to look at all of the options within Word without success.

Any other suggestions?

Hi Margaret -

For one thing, the image in question is InLine with Text (no wrapping) & the
second is that Tools>Option>View has a check in the box for 'Picture
Placeholders' - If you clear that check all should be OK.
