Inserted Object display issue

I have one portion of a worksheet inserted under another portion of the
same worksheet as an object. The formatting in the object should match
the portion of the linked portion it is reading from as if it was a
screenshot. For some reason, however, the horizontal gridlines are not
showing up on screen or when printed. All the vertical gridlines and
formatting is perfect with this one exception. I have gridlines checked
in Prefs. The look of the spreadsheet does not match because of this
apparent bug. Does anyone have a way to solve this issue? If a
screenshot will help click on the screenshot below.

I have tried inserting the object several times...no change.
Any help would be appreciated.

No, but when this is checked in PageSetup/Sheet (and I tried it but
just forgot to mention it in my original post), then the gridlines
under the object show thru the object. The problem in my case and just
about every spreadsheet I have, is that the gridlines under the object
do not correspond to thos needed in the object. If you view the
screenshot you'll see the vertical gridlines that "would" show thru
when this is checked. This causes some cells to have gridlines
crossing thru the cell and contents thereof.

Now...this is sorta strange! I was going to do a screenshot showing you
the after effect of having this checked off as I was writing this post.
Now, even with it checked, the gridlines do not show under the object.
Now they show annoyingly all around the object inserted when going to
Page Preview.

Thanks for your reply,
John
