Inserted object in inverted (upside down and backwards)

I am using PowerPoint 2000 at work and create a slide with an inserted
object (from a Pdf file) on my work PC the slide appears fine, but when I
open it up on my work laptop using Powerpint 2003 SP3 the inserted object
text shows up inverted (backwards and upside down. Is this due to the
version difference or something else. I dont want to request an upgrade if
it is not necessary.
