I am now running on Vista with Microsoft Word 2007 with files generated on
previous version of Microsoft Word and systems. I move the *.doc or converted
file *.docx and their supporting directories as a unit. The linked to images
from the older software show up after moving the file and supporting
directories as a unit but all pictures linked to by Microsoft Word 2007 don’t
show up. For example consider the document .../dir/word.doc and the linked
picture .../dir/picture.jpg. When I change the directory from /dir/ to /dir2/
if the picture was linked by an old Microsoft Word and system it shows up but
if the picture was linked by the new Microsoft Word 2007 and Vista the
picture isn’t found. If I change the directory name back it is found.
How do I get Microsoft Word 2007 to accept relative path names rather than
absolute path names?
