Inserting a graphic into the same place at the top of every page?

I want to insert an image that will be located in the same place on
every page. This will be a logo for a business that was saved as a .tif
file.

1. Is there a 'best' file format to use for graphics when inserting into
Word 2004? Is a .tif ok?

2. How do I set it up so that every new page created automatically
places this graphic into the same location?

Thanks!!!

I figured out how to do this using header/footer.

Is there a way to do this on every page except for the first page?

when I go to the first page and choose header/footer it brings up the
image. if I delete it, it also deletes it from all other pages.

how do I create a new separate header for only the first page?

In Word, choose Help > Word Help. In the search field type "different
first page header" (without the quotes) and hit Return. Read. m.
