inserting a link image to my form

i am trying to link various images to different records.
in my table i set the field to ole object then on the table cell i insert
ole object browse a file in my directory on pc and set it up as a link. the
fileis abmp format. when i click ok i get the word package in the field and
on my form it just shows me an icvon. please can someone help i am dying out
here hehehe

i am affraid this doesnt help.
I am using version 2007 access
Also i dont htink i am doing anyhting wrong as i have made them bmp files 24
bit and linking them to a driectory on my pc

Its quite a common problem with wrong BMP file type registry record.

You need to run registry editor, go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.bmp and set it
default value to "Paint.Picture". It may be nice to restart your PC after
that.

Anyway, its not good way to use OLE objects, as it will make you headaches
regularly. Take a look at http://access.bukrek.net - its perfect for images
in DB.
