Inserting a note

Suppose I've splattered a group of notes onto a ON page, each in its own
envelope (or whatever ON calls the note holders).

Now I decide to insert a new note in between two existing holders.

How can I most easily insert the new holder so that it displaces the holders
immediately below without overlapping them?

Two ways. If there is enough space between the containers, they will flow
automatically to prevent overlap.

If you need extra space, click the Insert Menu and choose "Extra writing
space." You can drag the line around and give yourself extra room.

If you add the note, hitting return SHOULD move the notes directly below it
down. But, if you want to be sure, use Insert --> Extra Writing Space. You
cursor will change to a line running the width or height of the page with an
arrow showing the direction space will be added. Click to add a set amount
of space or click and drag to define how much you want to add.
