Inserting a value in a cell when 2 others cell match a certain cri

Excuse me if this appears a stupid request

Have 2 collums "From" & "To" and wish excel to look up a table that would
match the cell values of these collums exactly then enter the price in the
third collum of the table.
Example
a=Hotel name, b=Airport, want c to be a cost that is shown in a seperate
table that has fthe from, to and cost values
So when I enter the job details on my worksheet it automatically puts in the
price from the other table.

Describe this "other table"? It has prices in the body of the table. What
does it have down the left side and across the top? What columns and what
rows? What sheet? Otto

Try this:

If I understand correctly... Try this using four Hotels and four Airports.

INDEX(E9:H12,MATCH(A1,D9:D12),MATCH(B1,E8:H8,0))

Where:
A1 is from this Hotel
B1 is to this Airport
E9:H12 is an index of the Prices
D9:D12 is a column of the Hotels
E8:H8 is a row of the Airports

C1 holds the formula above.

Howard
