Inserting a Word document into Outlook

A user has created a newsletter using one of the Word templates. On the left
hand side, she has a table with text aligned to the top and to the bottom. At
the bottom of both blocks of text there is a dash appearing when she inserts
the file as text into a Microsoft Outlook e-mail message. It doesn't appear
anywhere in the original document when you reveal formatting. Does anyone
know why this dash is being created and how to remove it? Thanks.
