Inserting an animated GIF - Powerpoint 97

Hi,

I was wondering how to insert an animated GIF into a
powerpoint 97 document so that it plays automatically upon
viewing a slide.

Any ideas?

Steven,

I don't think animated gifs play in the 97 version. You would have to
convert it to an avi.

You would have to convert it to an .avi file. Animated gif's do not work in 97
