I ran into this while working on a research paper. If you have an existing
citation in a document and insert an equation directly before the document
will no longer save and the error given is just "a file error has occured"

Steps to reproduce:

Create a new document
Create a new source or copy from master sources library
Insert a citation to that source
position the cursor directly before the citation
From the Insert tab, insert an equation, enter something in the equation ie
x + y

Attempt to save the document.

The file dialog will show twice, then an error will show saying "a file
error has occurred".

The file will not be saved and there is no obvious indication of what the
problem is or how to fix it in order to save your changes.
