Inserting an excel spreadsheet

Get Microsoft OneNote error - The file you have selected cannot be inserted
as a printout. There may be a problem with the file, or you may not have the
right program installed. You must first install a program that can open and
print this type of file, and then try again.

Has anyone seen this? Can it be corrected?

What version of OneNote? What version of Excel? What operating system?
What specific steps are you taking?

onenote 2007, excel 2003, xp 2002 w/service pack 2. justing trying to insert
a file as a printout (excel). J

Are you able, as a test, to insert a Word file as a printout in OneNote?
Have you tried doing a Detect and Repair on Excel?
