inserting and moving a clip art picture

T

Trevor

We have a classroom of 5 computers, 3 of the computers can
goto a new word document and select insert/picture/clip
art. A clip is selected and inserted to the new document.
ok now 2 out of 5 machines wont allow the inserted picture
to be moved!!! WHY???????

I've spent the last 2 hours trying to find the information
in help but as usual with Microsoft and their monopoly
there's no documentation to speak of. Very unprofessional
of them.
I wonder when the day will come when video and Dvd
recorders come without sufficient instruction. Why is
Microsoft allowed to get away with this blatant lack of
explanatory documentation???

**** off Microcock

Most likely the computers are running different versions of Word *or*
they're all running Word 2002 with different Options settings. By default,
Word 2000 and 2002 insert and paste graphics "In Line with Text." In order
to move them freely, you have to change the wrapping to another style. In
Word 2002, you can change the default wrapping style on the Edit tab of
Tools | Options.
