Since installing Office 2003 SP1, one of our users (Win2000 Pro SP4) can't
insert an attachment into a new email message. When the Insert File window
opens, Outlook crashes and closes itself. I ran a Detect & Repair,
uninstalled Outlook 2003 and reinstalled, but the problem persists.
When he selects Insert, by default Outlook attempts to open the File Insert
window that points to My Documents. I thought maybe Outlook didn't like one
of the files or folders in the My Documents so I placed them elsewhere. Even
with an empty My Documents Outlook still crashed.
Two questions...
Is there an option in Outlook to change the default File Locations away from
My Documents when Inserting a File?
And has anyone else experienced this problem? It has only happened on one
out of about 70 users so far.
Thanks.
