I have just switched from a Dell to an Imac. I have such a basic question. I cannot insert rows or columns. It says something like can't shift data off of page. Any ideas?

This has nothing specific to do with MAC, it is the same problem with both
Mac and Windows versions. The problem is that you have something (maybe a
space character that is hard to see) in a cell that would be "pushed" off
the sheet if you inserted columns or rows.

One way to find it might be to Edit-Go To Special, select Last Cell and
press OK. If this cell is further to the right and/or bottom than where you
think the last cell ought to be you must DELETE these extra rows and/or
columns. Do this by highlighting all the column headers to the right of the
real last column, and then pressing Edit-DELETE. Do the same thing for any
extra rows. Then SAVE and CLOSE the workbook. It should be OK the next time
you open it.
