Is there any way to insert a command button (form control) as opposed to an
Active X control? I just want to insert a button to run a macro. Thanks for
any help on this.

You can use a macrobutton field. CTRL+F9 to insert field braces. In the
braces type:

MacroButton YourMacroName DblClick here to run macro

Greg,

Thanks for the info but it isn't working. No doubt I'm doing something
wrong - but I have 2 braces with gray lettering between them saying
MacroButton Test1 DblClick here to run macro - and when I double click
nothing happens

You are close and it is my fault that you aren't there yet. Right click and
toggle the field code. All you should see is the "Dblclick here to run
macro" part.

You can change that prompt to read whatever you like.

Thanks Greg - that worked. I appreciate you taking the time to explain that.
