inserting document

Michael

I have got 2 documents 1 portrait and 1 landscape, the
landscape document has got 3 columns in it.

I want to insert the landscape document onto a blank page
after the portrait document. I have been doing this by
inserting a Section break (next page) after the first page
and then inserting the landscape document onto the new
page.

However when i insert the landscape document it turns it
into a portrait page and all the columns are messed up. I
have tried changing it back to landscape but the columns
are still messed up.

I can copy and paste the landscape document and this works
sometimes! but surely i should be able to do it by
importing the document?!!!

Any help would be great

Thanks

Michael

You have to add a section break (Continuous) at the end of the landscape
document before inserting it. When you use Insert | File (or copy/paste),
Word doesn't include the last paragraph mark, which contains the
document/section formatting, so you need to insert a section break to bring
it alone. For more, see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/WorkWithSections.htm.

Hi thanks for your reply.

I tried out what you said but it doesnt seem to work
(probably something i am doing wrong). I put a section
break (next page) at the end of the portrait page to start
a 2nd page. I have also put a section break (continuous)
at the end of the landscape page as you suggested.

However when i insert the land scape page the columns are
still incorrect and each column apears on a seperate page.

Any other ideas would be great

Thanks

Michael
