Inserting/editing text

L

lvenable

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)

I am creating a Word document, and somehow the default setting has been changed so that when I try to edit my text (whether in a text box or not) it writes over the old text, rather than inserting new text. Where do I go to change this setting?

Thank you in advance.

click on the little button in the status bar that I believe is labeled: OVR

which means overstrike.

see if that stops that.

If it's "fixed", don't "break it"!
