inserting flash or flash navigation on mac

does anyone know if you can insert flash into ppt on the mac? i've got a
friend who wants to spruce up his presentation with a flash navigation. is
this possible? The visual basic flash insertion choice doesn't seem to be
supported on the mac because it requires an active x component.

Hi

Flash support in PowerPoint is provided by Apple's QuickTime. Whenever
PowerPoint encounters a flash animation it turns everything over to
QuickTime, so if QuickTime can handle flash navigation then everything is
fine. If not, then whenever QuickTime adds this support then PowerPoint gets
it automatically.

Active-X is open source, but so far no one (it would most likely be Apple if
someone were to do this task) has used the source code to make Active-X work
on MacOS.

Why not use PowerPoint's built-in navigation controls? They're on the
drawing toolbar in the AutoShapes section. You can also make any graphic
object a button or hyperlink right in PowerPoint.
