inserting footnotes

I want to insert footnotes into a PowerPoint
presentation. It's simple in Word, but I can't find the
information under Help in PP.
Also, can you apply more than one slide design in a
single presentation?

If you want good help you must always state the version of PowerPoint you
are using.

But I can say that no version has footnotes, so stop looking. Create them
manually.

Multiple designs (multiple masters) are only possible in version 2002. (See
why we need to know your version?) Other than that, you have to fake it with
designs in the slides, not in the master.
