Inserting hyperlink in Outlook 2003

I want to email hyperlinks such as www.MySite.com and actually point the
link to my web page. I used the Outlook INSERT to do this allows you to
control what is seen by recipient and where it actually goes.

I entered a hyperlink into an email as follows:
Try this link: http://www.MySite.com , pointed it to my web site and sent
it to myself.

I didn't get what I expected. Why is this?? Can it be overcome??

This is what I got:
"Try this link: HYPERLINK "http://citlink.net/~MyUserName" \t
"_blank"www.MySite.com"

If you just enter the hyperlink by typing it (not with Insert), most mail
clients who receive it will be able to click on it.
