Inserting material / tooling costs

D

Doug

I want to be able to run and monitor my budget in Project which I think is
doable, however, I can find specifically how to enter one-time costs such as
hard tooling, fixtures, molds, etc. without setting them up as a resource.
They would apply to a specific task (ie. purchase widget stamping tool) and
therefore should not be available to other tasks as resources.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Doug

Hi,

Select View, Table, Cost

In this table (a table is a group of columns) you can see the fixed cost
field. Use that and see help for more info on it.

Hi Doug,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

There is a Fixed Cost field for just this type of costing. Insert a column
and select Fixed Cost or, better, View/Table:Entry/Cost.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
