inserting multiple pictures at once

Does anyone know if there is a way to insert multiple pictures into
Powerpoint all at once so that each individual picture is on a different
slide? I like to show slide shows of pictures of trips I whent on using PP
and add captions to them. It is annoying to go in and insert each picture
one by one.

I guess you've got to way up how many times you have a need for this sort of
thing and how much time it will save you.

Hi ktruett-

Couldn't help noticing "I just wish it was free". Have you taken a look
at iPhoto? If you're runing OS X you've already got it and I believe it
will do even more tha you want... like a QuickTime movie (complete with
sound), perhaps.

Hope this is something you can use! |:>)

After the problems with recent updates of OfficeX I upgraded to Office
2004 but decided to get a copy of Keynote 2 to try as well. Keynote
will do just what you want. Drag a roll from iPhoto to the silde sorter
and each photo imports to a new slide. I can export this to PPT but I
think Microsoft should do the decent thing and add this functionality.

Hi,

Please take a moment to let Microsoft know that you would like this
feature added to PowerPoint. Saying this is like shooting myself in the
foot because I sell an add-in that accomplishes this. But still, it's
the right thing to tell you.

Yeah I plan on emailing microsoft to request it. I have Iphoto and I have
Keynote. Neither one can do the stuff that I realy need to have done. See
I own my own business & I show these presentations to business partners of
mine that are just getting started so they can see what these weekend
leaderships that I attend can do for thier business. I need to be able to
add music in wherever I want & start and stop whenever I want and overlap
each other with voiceovers etc. It seems like each piece of software has a
different function that I can use. Now if all these could be combined I'd
have it all. I'm tired of going out wasting my time and money on all these
different programs & not being able to do what I want. The store clerk or
whoever tells me it does one thing then I get it home & it doesnt. It's
just very frustrating. If I had the time I would go back to school and
learn to develope software & get what I want. I'm sure many out there can
feel me on this one.

I share your fustration. I have even tried Applescript to help with
some of these tasks but made little progress. The time spent trying to
write program is time I want to spend improving my presentations. I
have been pleased though with the integration of iPhoto and Keynote2
and the ability to import and export to PPT2004. I also found the
presentation view helpful when lecturing last week.

I appreciate the suggestions. I will definately try that. It is so hard to
find answers to questions about computers & software etc. without paying a
small fortune for it. I appreciate everyones input.

Sorry if the link does not work you can find the thread by searching
for applescript powerpoint in the mac discussion group on the main
apple site.
