I have a folder where there are multiple documents with embeded logos in
them. There has been a logo change which I wish to place in a file. I wish
to insert the new logo from that file and if in case in future there is a
change in the logo, I would like to just change the logo in the file and the
documents should automatically pick up the logo that is current. Is there a
way out? Kindly help.

Thanks in advance

Instead of using an embedded logo use a linked file instead. This option
should be included in the method you are using to embed the image. For
specific steps we need to know the version of Word you are using. More than
likely you need to click the arrow next to the Insert button in the Insert
Picture dialog box and use the Link option.

Thanks for the quick response. Firstly I would like to state that I am using
Microsoft Word 2007 version. Secondly would like to state that I have tried
the linked file also i.e. after clicking on INSERT -> OBJECT -> Create from
File and selecting the required file in the File Name. When I change the
picture / logo, the new logo is not reflected in any of the documents.

Not sure as to why it is not working. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance. Regards.

Changing something in a template doesn't affect documents created with
that template before the template was changed;
