inserting one pub file into another

new issue. now i need to insert a publisher file(#1)
into another publisher file (#2). i saved it(#1) as a
jpeg first then did insert picture on file #2. when i
then save #2 as postscript then PDF one of the colors (it
is a tint of a darker shade on the document) in the
inserted #1 document does not show up correctly.

I am soooooo close to completion. should i be saving it
as something other than a jpeg? i did this successfully
when i first started this project but all the printing
info has changed so much from the beginning i am afraid i
screwed up settings somewhere. this piece will be
printed as cmyk. where as some of the others will be
spot printed. i did go thru and change all of the colors
on the inserted doc to cmyk before inserting.

thanks,
Sylvia

I'd suggest adding blank pages to doc 2, go back to doc 1, select all, copy,
and paste it into doc 2.

it needs to be on the same page as doc #2. it is reduced
and inserted, not a new page. the entire document is to
be only 1 page. it is a promotional page that shows an
example of what we will provide to the customer. the
example is what i am trying to insert and reduce.

thanks,
Sylvia

There is no perfect way of doing this in my opinion. I would suggest the
following:

1. Create PDF of file #1
2. Save as EPS or Tiff file from PDF (if you save EPS be sure to set "Font
Inclusion" to "All" in the "Settings" button.
3. Insert EPS or Tiff into file #2. Color fidelity may not be perfect.
