Inserting Page number (not in Header)

Brad

I was wondering if any one new a way to insert a page
number in a document that's not in the header it needs to
be put in a different spot. It also needs to be non
autoupdating. It would be perfect if there was some type of
look up command. Basically i am trying to program a macro
that will go through a very long document and insert the
page number only once, without having to phsically type it
into each page. Am i crazy or is this possible? Please Help.
Thank You

Brad

While Suzanne's crystal ball may be better polished than mine, it is very
difficult to imagine what you are trying to do here from your description.
A page number is created by a {page} field - or is simply a number. If it is
to be non-updating then it is simply a number.
You appear to want a page number on every page, but not in the header.
That's what the header does - puts information on every page. A header can
be anywhere on the page. It doesn't have to be at the top. Put the page
number in a frame in the header view and place that frame where you want it.
