Inserting PDF file in Object Field

I am using Access 2000. I have been trying to create a
database to index documents in PDF format. I have created
an object field. When I click insert OLE object, select
the path to a folder on my desktop, Access freezes so I
have to use Task Manager to end the program.

Any suggestions?

Your lucky, my version of Access 2002, Win 2000 reboots the computer when I
do that.
