Inserting picture

I have a crazy prblem. When inserting .jpg-pictures in
Word97 by clicking Insert - Picture - From file, I get
very different file sizes when doing exactly the same in
english compared to swedish version (4x bigger). The raw
Word document was generated by Excel macros developed in
the english version.

Do anybody know why?

Most likely the English version works/expect measurements in Inches not in
Centimeters.
