Inserting pictures after upgrading to Office 2003

I have upgraded to Office 2003, but it now will not allow
me to insert pictures from a network drive. It will allow
me to insert them from a local drive, however.

I get a "Convert File" dialogue box, asking to "Convert
file from" one of the standard graphic types.

Anyone with any ideas. I've uninstalled and reinstalled
from the "full version" CD without success.

Are you by any chance running Norton AV? If you are uncheck its office
plug-in.
