inserting pictures - magnifying picture

M

mrsdrudge

I am making a presentation of pictures and when inserting from one
file from my photograph files in microsoft pictures, the picture is
'zoomed in' so only shows part of the picture. When power point is in
normal view, I can change the picture back to it's original form in
the large picture on the right hand side by using the zoom function -
but it doesn't change in the thumbnails down the side, even when
saved, and doesn't change in the slide show. Sorry - this is very
difficult to explain!

Hi there

It sounds like your picture is bigger than the slide. When you use the zoom
in the right hand pane you are just zooming the whole slide, not the picture
:)

The default size for slides is 25.4 x 19.05 cm so make your picture smaller
than that - double click it and on the size tab change height or width (tick
the lock aspect ratio button first).

If you need more help, post back with your version.

Lucy

PS You probably have a huge file so I would advise once you are happy with
the size of a pic use -> edit -> cut -> edit -> paste special -> jpg or png
to keep file size under control
