Inserting Pictures Word 2003

To add to my previous question (I reverted back to Word 2003 from Office
2007. Now when I insert a picture into a Word 2003 doc all I get is an empty
box. What gives?) I want to also say that the picture does show up in Print
Preview.

Tools | Options | View: Clear the check box for "Picture placeholders."
