inserting/playing flash SWF files in Powerpoint in WIN and MAC

Hello,
I have a problem, i am using a win XP machine, and i am creating the
power point and inserting the flash and things seem to work alright..
but when i open the power point on a mac it wont play the SWF flash
files ..

any solutions to this, i cant seem to find good info, i read the
flashgeek but i dont see a solution.

If you have access to the Mac in question, can you start a new presentation and
add the Flash file to it and have it work correctly? That might be the best
starting point; if it can't be done natively on Mac, then it's unlikely it can
be made to work x-platform.

If you can make it fly on Mac, post the steps here.

Also, a few details may help:

WinXP, good.
What version of PPT are you using there?

Which MacOS and PPT versions are you testing with?

If you downgrade your flash files to version 5, QuickTime which is what
handles that in PPT will be able to play them.
