Inserting Project options

What is the difference is when inserting projects with the following settings:

I don't want a link to the project. I'm just looking to insert a copy of a
plan, but I don't know what the difference is between these 2 sets of options:

1) Link to project = 'off ' & Read-only to view = ON
and this one:
2) Link to project = 'off' & Read/write to check out = OFF

Link feature is useful when you creating the consolidated project or

If you typed correctly then I think there is no difference between the two.
There are some subtle behavior differences between the two mostly regarding
alert messages that pop-up if you don't have access permissions or if the
file is checked out.

Other than that as long as you aren't linking or saving the project both
read only and read/write will work.
