Inserting Ref Column

I want to insert a column immediately before the 'Tasks' column so that I can input some cross reference numbers to a plan currently held in Excel? Grateful of any help.

Hi Cathie,
Where exactly do you see a "Tasks" Column?
If it is in a Gantt Chart or Usage view, select the title of that column,
Insert, Column, select the one you want to use (a textn or Numbern column,
depending on what you want to show)
