Inserting shapes without rearranging everything

I need to insert a shape into an existing diagram and would like to know if
there is any way I can set up Visio to automatically move down all the shapes
in the diagram that are below the one being inserted so I do not have to
manually do it.
It seems simple enough but I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Visio does not have this capability in general. In several types of
flowchart drawings you can drop a new shape on a connector to break the
connector and insert the shape in the middle. However, this does not shift
any surrounding shapes, so you have to make room before you do this.
