Inserting slides from files doesn't work

Hello, I am hoping I can get some help. I just bought a new ibook G4
running OS panther 10.3. I am using Office mac 2004. When I try to
insert slides form files I get the following error...

Microsoft PowerPoint has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience.

If I open the same files I am trying to insert and copy paste into my
presentation all is fine. This isn't really a valid solution however.
We use this computer to run the songs service at our church. So the
insert slides from file is somthing we use over and over on our last
computer and PP.

Any suggestions why this happens.

Quite strange... It is woronging perfectly here... Insert all, isert
specific, insert specific while keeping original design. I even tried with
WinPT files that were not opened on Office:Mac first to see if this was a
cross platform issue...

So the good news is that this should work and we have to find out why it
doesn't on your side:
- I use an updated comy of Office:2004. Is your version (About Powerpoint)
says 11.1.0 ? If not, maybe after updating it could work
- did you try with another PPT file to insert from (is this one corrupeted
in some ways ???)
- did you try to insert into another one? (is the receiving PPT file
corrupted???)

Is there a way to get the files as sample so other could take a look?
