Inserting symbols into Outlook Express emails

Is there an easy way to insert symbols like Greek letters and emoticons into
emails using Outlook Express? I now go into Word, generate the symbol and
then copy/paste it into my email. I'm using Office 2003.

Despite similar names, Office's Outlook & Windows' Outlook Express are
totally different programs. Use Outlook 2003 instead and you'll be able to do
what you want.
