inserting symbols

Is it possible to insert a symbol not available in the
symbol menu? I'd like to know how to insert the flat
symbol used in music notation (looks something like a b).

Hi,

You might be able to overlay two characters by changing
the spacing between them so that they look like the symbol
you want, but you'd probably do better to search the web
for a music score font.
