Inserting text on a chart

How does one insert text anywhere on a chart face? Using Office 98, the process was a snap.

Hi Maugie -

The process isn't really al that different except that you have a lot more
to choose from plus fancier formatting options:)

Click in the Chart Area first. Then use the Text Box tool on the Drawing
Toolbar or most any of the AutoShape tools which you can then
Control/Right-Click to Add Text. Format the shapes as you see fit using the
Format dialog or the Formatting Palette.

Keep in mind that files in the prior (.xls) format won't accept many of the
newer capabilities that a file in the .xlsx format enables.
