Insertion point or word cursor disappears

When using Word 2003 the insertion point disappears when the enter key is
used and does not reappear unless I left click the mouse. I do not have this
problem with Exel or any other programs.
Thanks

First, take a look at the Windows control panel for the Mouse & on the
Pointer Options page make sure the check is removed for "Hide pointer while
typing".

This box is not checked. I only loose the work cursor in Word 2003. No other
programs.
Thanks

In that case, check the manufacturer's website for your graphics card and see if
there isn't a newer version you can download and install.

How do I find the manufacturer of my graphics card? I have the paperwork that
came with this tower but I do not see graphics listed anywhere. I did not
have this problem when I first started using this computer so I thought
possibly I had accidentally changed something in the word program.

Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Adapter will give you the
display adapter details. Run along to the manufacturer's web site and get
the latest update.
