insisting save requests

Hello All!
Lately, as I am working on any document, out of the blue the Save dialog box
appears on my screen offering to Save as... and takes which ever last letters
I was typing as the new name of my doc. At this point it gets stuck on these
requests. As much as I cancel OR save, it asks me once and again, several
times, for a name to save the doc. I think eventually it finds what it was
looking for and lets me work, but sometimes I just have to fight for hours,
unable of entering one single full word that is not taken as the new name of
the doc.
I am running Office 2007 on Windows Vista, Home Edition, 16 b, w/SP1
installed already.
Please, please, help!!!!

Have you run the diagnostics?

Do you have an HP printer?

If another printer, is the print driver up to date?

Hello Brian, My printer is an epson and it is usually off when I start
working and get those Save as prompts. I believe the driver is up to date but
I'll check that out and if that solves the problem I'll let you know. Thank
you. Adriana

Brian, in case you're still with me, I checked the epson driver and it was
already in its latest version. I ran diagnostics and got no errors. The worse
part of this strange situation is that it does not produce an error condition
that I could report. All Office Programs just get stuck on "Save as" until
something happens and that gets released. The problem is when this requires
over 100 clicks!

Sounds totally logic. Let's try it. By the way, I had a hard time getting
into this page now. I just got a blank page after clicking the link in my
email. I then had to fiddle with some authentication issues, but the thing is
that this is not intuitive at all, in case any of you guys can do something
about it.

Unfortunately, we have nothing to do with it. It is all hosted by Microsoft.
We are merely unpaid peer-to-peer volunteers without influence on how the
newsgroups work. We are all long-time newsgroup users who all HATE the web
interface and only every use a proper Newsgroup Reader such as Outlook
Express to access them.

I hear you, Terry. Let's hope that with more complains the right forums
"they" listen to us.
Oddly enough, Word has not given me any trouble today... it maybe saw I had
reached you and just as when you take the car to the shop it stops making
"that noise" it has not squeaked at all! Any ways, I'll keep your suggestion
at hand in the event this happens again. Thank you very much, Adriana
