I have some users with several large pst files each (on laptops). In
the range 300MB to 1.5GB.
Every few weeks they have problems moving mail from their inbox to
their personal folders. Outlook hangs. If I build a new Outlook
profile with a new offline mailbox (ost file) all seems to be ok for
another few weeks.
I've noticed that large tables have been enabled for these PST files
(I don't think the users have reached the point where they _need_
large tables) and that Microsoft say Large Tables may cause
instability with 'older software'. Would Outlook 2000 and Exchange
5.5 count as older software?
I'd be grateful for any opinions about the relevance of large tables
to the instability problem or any other suggestions regarding the
instability issue.
Many thanks in advance,
Mark.
