Install 2000 MS Office Shortcut Toolbar to use with Office 2003

Rich G.

Could someone please give me specific directions on how to install the Office
Shortcut Toolbar from Office 2000 into Office 2003.

When I began the process, I selected a Custom Install and was then presented
with some type of a file tree with "+" and "-" signs. I obviously did
something wrong as I wasn't able to specifically select the Office 2000
Shortcut Bar. So, the entire Office 2000 version was installed! Uninstalling
it caused program faults (especially in Outlook) that I was able to remedy.

I'd appreciate some very specific help as I don't want to go through this
experience again. I love th Shortcut Toolbar vs. the Quick Launch method but
was wondering if there was another program that might serve the same purpose.

Thanks to everyone!!

1. Start your custom installation of Office 2000, and get to the point where
you see the file tree.
2. Click on the little black downward-pointing triangle to the left of
"Microsoft Office", and click on "Not available".
3. If necessary, click on the + box to the left of "Microsoft Office" to
expand the tree.
4. Click on the + box to the left of "Microsoft Office Tools" to expand the
branch.
5. Click on the little black downward-pointing triangle to the left of
"Office Shortcut Bar", and click on "Run All from Computer".
6. Finish the custom installation by following the steps in the
Installation Wizard.
