I can't install/connect to an external 2007 Exchange Server using outlook
2007.
I run Exchange server 2003 on an SBS 2003 network for most of my client
computers. All work clientsfine.
I have a new requirement to connect to an extenal Exchange 2007 server with
a different domain for three of my client computers. I can connect the one
Outlook 2003 client to the external 2007 Exchange box but not the two clients
that use Outlook 2007. I think the problem is that the setup program is
automatically filling in the setup window with my 2003 Server name and my
2003 user name. I erase these boxes and check the manual setup box. But when
I try to check name after I set up the proxy server settings for the external
2007 Excahnge server
I can't connect to the 2007 Excahnge server.( No underline of user name).
My DNS for the 2007 Exchange Mail Domain is hosted exteranlly by my web
host. Note, I can also connect to the external mail boxes via Outlook Web
Mail 2007 so I know everything is working on the 2007 excahnge host.
Is there a work around for this or is there something I am overlooking?
