Install Access 2000 over top of MS Office 2002

I've got MS Office 2000 Pro, which includes Access. My colleague has MS
Office 2002. He needs to work with Access, and the 2000 version would be
fine. Assuming that licences are all valid, can I install Access 2000 over
the top of Office 2002, or will it create some conflicts? I'm assuming that
if it is possible, I would need to select only the Access component of Office
2000 and install it into a different directory to the exisisting Office 2002
installation.

It depends as to whether your version of Office is a retail version or an
OEM version.
If OEM its only Licensed to the first PC it was installed on
The MS reccomendation is to install the earliest version or component first,
and with Office/Access 2K, a custom install to a version specific folder eg
Program Files\MS Office\Office2k
Then update office/access, reboot, then install later version
