Install-/data path (OneNote Mobile)

Hello,

I'm using OneNote Mobile for a while now and have a problem
that I am running out of free space on the main hard drive.

I was already able to install OneNote Mobile on the MicroSD-Card,
but the data (pages) still is saved on the main hard drive.

Any idea?

Best regards
Sajad

Hello David,

thanks for the fast reply.

Yesterday evening I had already studied David's Blog
and didn’t find something matching to my subject.

The problem actually is, I don't know how to change the
default path to the plugged sd-card on my mobile phone.

Maybe not possible yet? Can you tell me where can a place
my future request?

Regards
Sajad

That's because that deals with using SD/thumb drives to store Desktop files,
not OneNote Mobile Files. I'm sure you will figure out you can't stick your
desktop file on an SD card and stick it in your PPC and access it with
OneNote Mobile.

Now, as to redirecting the OneNoteMobile file to the SD card, I found this.
Haven't tried it, just found it.

If you are comfortable mucking with the registry, have at it. Usual
disclaimer about backing up your device/PC before attempting this sort of
surgery applies. The largest issue IMHO is that the usual MS sync process
doesn't support the flash memory location, other than media, and that is a
Media Player thing, not ActiveSync/WMDC. That is probably why you see no
official option. It appears that part of the process is done on the PC (the
registry changes) that point the sync engine to the flash folder. Does it
work? Beats me.

Hello Sven,

seems to be exactly what I've been looking for.
But also seems to be very complicate.
I will give it I try.

Bitte sehr. Do post back your experience, good bad or indifferent. It helps
to know someone other than the author has managed to get the procedure to
work, to help others decide if they want to be..uh...adventurous.
