Two months ago I upgraded from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate via Vista's upgrade
DVD. I then installed FP 2003 via its upgrade CD and entered the Product Key
and it asked me to enter the source (a FP2000 CD), the install went smoothly
and FP2003 worked fine with Vista for two months.
Today I did a squeaky clean install of Vista Ultimate on a newly formatted
HDD without saving Vista's files or settings and not entering the Product Key
of Vista, again using my Vista's upgrade DVD.
Then with Vista running I did another install this time an "upgrade"
entering the Product Key, and authorized it via phone, and it's working
perfectly.
My problem: Three times now I've tried to install FrontPage starting with
the 2003 upgrade CD and again starting with disk 1 of the 2 disk 2000 CD and
both installs hang, after accepting the Product Key, at "Please wait while
Windows configures FP" or, "Installation Progress" but no movement on the
progress bar.
I tried copy-pasting the contents of both of the CDs to my HDD and then
clicking setup.exe and again both hung up (more than 15 mins) at the same
point in the install.
Suggestions please.
