install issue from project server newbie

Hi.

I'm trying to configure Project Server 2003 to an existing SP and WSS
environment. I've run the sharepoint tools on my sharepoint server without
issue. I've installed Project Server to its server without issue. I'm
having problems with configuring the two though. My server config is one sql
server, one SP server, and one project server.

In Project Web Access, I've entered in the SharePoint central admin URL and
have successfully tested it. For 'Create a site under this SharePoint URL',
I enter the same string + /sites and it fails. If I test this link in a
separate IE window, it also fails. If I use our actual URL
(https://myteam.company.com/sites) and try to save it, I get "The server
instance specified was not found. Please specify the server's address and
port." However, the link below that to test the Public Documents site
(https://myteam.company.com/sites/MS_projectServer_PublicDocuments) works.
If I change the link to include the non-admin port
(https://myteam.company.com:443/sites) it still fails with the same error,
but the link below still works.

Anyone have ideas for what I'm missing?
